Pennies for Patients Assembly and a Goodbye to Mrs. Phelps
On May 3rd, we had an assembly to say goodbye and good luck to our secretary Mrs. Phelps, who is going to work at the high school. We also duct taped Mr. Larson to the wall because we exceeded our goal of raising $1,500 during the Pennies For Patients penny war to raise money for cancer.
Focus on Future Wrap-Up Assembly April 12th
We had a wrap-up assembly where each class got to share something about the University they studied during BDM's Focus on Future Week. Students shared information about what sports, mascot, education, are at their university. We also got to see some fun hand symbols for universities or sayings and chants that might be used at campus events. The entire school learned a lot about college, and got to think about goals they could set for themselves if they want to attend someday!
April 4th PBIS Assembly
We had an Assembly on April 3rd. The school got to do Eagle Way Trivia. Each grade level had a team of three students and one teacher to figure out if scenarios told about the Eagle Way or not. Each team won at least 10 minutes of extra recess for earning points from their answers! Way to go!
E-ticket Awards at the Assembly
Students also got chosen from the piles of E-tickets that had been collected during February and March. One student from each grade level got chosen to win a balloon, a large candy bar, and a smencil (smelly pencil). Keep earning those e-tickets, you may win next time!
Perfect Attendance Awards
Mr. Larson read the names of all of the students who had perfect attendance for the entire 1st semester! They all came up to the front at our last assembly to be recognized. Mr. Larson gave these students a pizza party on March 8th. Great Job!
3 Screens Productions
We had a special assembly on March 7th. 3 Screens Productions came and put on a show for our students. The theme was regular kids being action heroes by being active, generous, and compassionate. Ask your children what they learned from this exciting film!
